Welcome to my website!
||This site was started on 28th March 2007. It’s still very much under
construction, but I’m adding more content all the time...
My website is divided into three main sections: software, music and other stuff. You can also view a
site map of my website, contact me, or send me a donation for one of my free software applications.
One of my main interests is software engineering, and in my spare time I enjoy creating my own software. My most well-known project is
my Guitar Chord Explorer, which has had over 140,000 visitors so far, and has received some positive feedback.
Other projects that you can use for free include:
My other projects include:
I’ve been playing the piano since school, and the acoustic guitar since 2002. I’ve created some beatless ambient music
under the name of Slowspace, and in 2005, I recorded my first amateur
album, The Eternal Realm. I’ve also recorded some beatless ambient mixes.
In 2007 and 2008, I participated in the professional recording of two albums with The Newsong Group (acoustic guitar and tenor vocals). I’ve
composed some songs in GarageBand, and I’ve created some drum & bass tracks, mixes and remixes under the name
of DJ Banana.
I’ve created Conway’s Game of Life: An Illustrated Guide and a small collection of
useful AppleScripts, and I’m currently developing various TV episode guides and
a guide to the Mac OS X Terminal.
You can view some photos and videos of “Foxy” (a friendly fox who visits our back garden every
day ), and see how I memorised Pi to 100 decimal places. I’m
also building a collection of links to useful or interesting webpages.
All the videos on my website are available on both
YouTube and Vimeo:

|I’ve been a member of Wikipedia since November 2006. I’ve started
several articles, and made over 400 edits so far. I created the articles
about the ambient music artist SleepResearch_Facility, who then thanked me
in the booklet of his latest album, Deep_Frieze (click
here to see my name in the booklet). I’ve also made major contributions to
the Journey into Space article, since I’m a big fan of this 1950s radio show. For

A favourite quotation
||‘Seek First to Understand’ involves a very deep shift in paradigm. We typically seek first to be understood. Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply. They’re either speaking or preparing to speak. They’re filtering everything through their own paradigms, reading their autobiography into other people’s lives.
